Ten-man Borussia Dortmund recorded a 2-1 victory over Werder Bremen to retain fourth place in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
The visitors, who will face PSV Eindhoven in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie next week, took the lead through Donyell Malen's overhead kick in the 21st minute.

Jadon Sancho then scored his first goal since his return to Dortmund, completing a quick counterattack to give them a two-goal lead.
But things got worse on the stroke of half-time when Dortmund were reduced to 10 men after Marcel Sabitzer was sent off with a straight red card for a foul on Mitchell Weiser.
Werder little by little got back into the game and closed the gap thanks to Justin Njinmah in the 70th, but despite the last opportunities they could not find the equalizer.
Dortmund have 47 points, one more than RB Leipzig, who won 2-0 at home to Darmstadt 98. The top four teams qualify for next season's lucrative Champions League group stage.
