Athlets The Unlimited Softball League has its first players draft


The new Unlimited Softball League (AUL) of the athletes had its inaugural players draft on January 29. The League will have four teams playing a 24 -game season in a traditional format and will be in addition to the Softball Championship season of Au Pro existing, which launched in 2020 and is 30 games for five weeks in July and August.

What is AUSL?

Lanning in 2025, the new unlimited athletes of athletes will complement the existing season of the Au Pro softball championship, which will be called Ausl All-Star Cup and will continue the conclusion of the AUL season. The AUSL All-Star Cup will continue to use the Au score model to crown an individual champion.

Ausl's season will begin in June and will have four teams (bandits, fire, claws and volts). The League will go to 6-8 cities in its first season and then in 2026 it will move to a city-based format. ESPN will transmit at least 18 games exclusively in 2025 (ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU).

How are players recruiting the teams?

Each team recruited 12 players from a group of more than 80 players available. The former UCLA star, Maya Brady (Tom Brady's niece) was one of the most recent players to sign with the League and was recruited in the fifth round by the claws.

The remaining four places will be covered by free agents and incoming university players who are finishing their eligibility.

In addition to general coaches and managers, former MLB Kim NG executive is the main advisor. Softball legends Jennie Finch, Jessica Mendoza and Natasha Watley are AUL advisors.
