Boxing champion Anthony Joshua was among those injured in a fatal car crash in Nigeria on Monday, authorities said.
Joshua was in the back seat of a vehicle traveling on the Ogun-Lagos Highway when the accident occurred, which left two other people dead, according to multiple reports. Nigerian officials said Joshua suffered minor injuries and was otherwise “doing well.”

“Joshua was sitting behind the driver, with another person next to him,” a witness told Nigerian newspaper The Punch. “There was also a passenger sitting next to the driver, making four occupants in the Lexus that crashed. Their safety equipment was in the vehicle behind them before the accident.”
Ogun State Police Commissioner Lanre Ogunwalo told ESPN that a tire on Joshua's vehicle “burst,” causing its driver to crash into an idling truck parked along the road.
