American tennis star Taylor Fritz stunned German Alexander Zverev with a five-set victory at Wimbledon on Monday after being two sets down early in the match.
Zverev took the second set 7-6 (4), but Fritz fought back and won the final three sets 6-3, 7-6 (3), 6-3.

The final word was given to Fritz's girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, who celebrated the victory. Riddle appeared to mock Zverev when she posted on Instagram Stories.
“When your man wins for the girls,” she wrote, referencing allegations that he assaulted a woman in 2020.
Riddle also wrote in another post: “Stay strong, ladies.”

Zverev reached an out-of-court settlement with his former partner, who had brought the charges, and the German court ended the case in June. Zverev agreed to pay fines of about $162,000 to the state and about $54,000 to a charity.
Prosecutors said Zverev pushed the woman against a wall and strangled her during an argument. Zverev maintained his innocence.
In the match against Fritz, Zverev seemed to take the applause heard from his opponent's box in the fifth set in a bad way. He said that “it was a bit exaggerated.”
Zverev also acknowledged that he was playing with a knee injury.
“I was playing with one leg,” Zverev said. “It was pretty obvious that I wasn't 100% today, wasn't it? I didn't really move during the whole match. I didn't run to hit a drop shot. If I ran to hit a drop shot, I was limping more than running.”
