Olympians are trying to win in Paris both on and off the field.

The United States leads the rankings with 30 total medals at this year's Olympics (only five gold, though), but it doesn't appear that they, or anyone else, are having the same success outside of sport.

Rower Emily Delleman revealed in a recent TikTok that she's trying to live the full Olympics experience, including finding some love.

But she has had bad luck, despite being in the city of love.

“The other day I was laying on my cardboard bed recovering… and I was scrolling through TikTok and I saw girls who were like, 'Hey, change your location to the Olympic Village. Do you want to have babies?'” Delleman began her TikTok. “And I was like, 'Oh my gosh, genius.' I mean, I'm here right now, so you gotta make the most of this, like when you're in Rome.”

Delleman said other athletes were “overreacting” [Tinder] up” and decided to download it after not having it for “years.”

“They were like, 'Match pro athletes using our new feature,' and I was like, 'That's crazy, okay. ' But this should be cool,” he continued.

But the application did not live up to expectations.

“I started scrolling and scrolling and I didn't see any Olympians. I thought, 'Okay, my setup must be weird. ' No. I only saw the location within a mile radius and so far I think I saw two other Olympians,” he said.

“Don't get me wrong, you Parisian men are gorgeous, chefs kiss like I don't know what they put in the water. But, you know, I went in with the expectation of finding some of my future plots, but alas, I guess we're looking for other forms of entertainment and that's why you're now finding me on TikTok.”
