AC Milan forward Olivier Giroud is interested in moving to Major League Soccer at the end of the season, should the Italian club opt not to extend his contract, a source told ESPN.
Giroud, 37, is France's all-time leading scorer with 56 goals. He has spent the last three years at Milan, which he helped to the Serie A title in 2022.

The striker would prefer to stay in Milan for one more season after continuing his scoring streak this season with 12 goals in 25 league games, but is interested in a move to MLS if that is not possible.
A source told ESPN that Giroud would be interested in joining an MLS franchise in a major market, like the path taken by his former French teammate Hugo Lloris, who joined LAFC in December.
Giroud has previously enjoyed spells at Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as a number of French clubs.
At the international level he lifted the 2018 World Cup with France. He also represented the country in two other World Cups and three European Championships.
