Golf was a conversation topic that no one had on their bingo card during last month's presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, but it was one of the biggest viral moments between the former and current presidents.
It continued when Trump challenged Biden to a $1 million charity match at his golf course in Doral, Florida, during one of his rallies.
“I'm also officially challenging 'Crooked Joe' to an 18-hole golf match right here at the Blue Monster in Doral, considered one of the world's premier tournament golf courses,” Trump told the crowd attending the rally, according to The New York Post. “It will be one of the most-watched sporting events in history.”

The golf debate has been discussed across the country, and New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is among those who couldn't believe it was even being discussed.
“When they first started talking about golf, Trump recently said he would give Joe $1 million a side,” Rodgers said during his appearance on the “Pardon My Take” podcast.
TRUMP CHALLENGES BIDEN TO A GAME OF GOLF AND SAYS HE WILL DONATE A MILLION DOLLARS TO A CHARITY IF HE LOSES
Rodgers, a solid golfer, thought Biden's “catch” was a “low-key” moment that he thought was funny.
“You have to carry your own bag,” Rodgers recalled Biden telling Trump. “This is a guy who couldn't even get off the stage. He couldn't even get off the stage, but, 'Yeah, you have to carry your own bag, Trump.'”
Golf came up during the June 27 debate, when Trump talked about his “good health” and how he “won two club championships, not even senior, two regular club championships” in golf.
“To do that, you have to be very smart and have the ability to hit the ball a long distance. And I do that.” [Biden] He doesn't. He can't hit a ball 50 yards. He challenged me to a golf match. He can't hit a ball 50 yards.”
Biden replied: “I'd love to have a driving contest with him,” and then talked about his handicap of 6 when he was vice president under Barack Obama, causing a stir on social media.
“That's the biggest lie, that he has a handicap of six, of all,” Trump replied. “I've seen your swing, I know your swing.”
Rodgers believes a different sport would resolve the dispute between the two, even though Biden is no longer running for re-election against Trump in this year's presidential election.

“I say put them in tank tops and let them wrestle,” Rodgers said.
