49ers rookie Ricky Pearsall poses with first responders who helped save his life after a shooting at a game

San Francisco 49ers rookie receiver Ricky Pearsall stood on the sidelines in street clothes Monday night at Levi's Stadium after being shot in an attempted robbery.

Also on the sidelines before the game were the first responders who helped save Pearsall's life, as he invited them to enjoy the team's season opener.

The video captured Pearsall hugging the first responders, having a pleasant conversation with them and giving them signed jerseys.

49ers fans roared as the interaction was shown on the giant screen. Pearsall also appeared to write a message on the back of each jersey.

Pearsall, the 31st overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by San Francisco, was shot during a fight with a 17-year-old suspect, who was charged with attempted murder, assault with a semi-automatic weapon and attempted second-degree robbery. Several weapons-related charges were also added last week.

The 17-year-old was allegedly trying to steal the luxury watch Pearsall was wearing as he walked to his car.

'IT'S A MIRACLE' THAT 49ERS ROOKIE RICKY PEARSALL SURVIVED SHOOTING, COACH KYLE SHANAHAN SAYS

Pearsall was shot in the chest and the bullet exited through his back, missing any vital organs. A video shows first responders tending to Pearsall as he walked to an ambulance.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that he gave a message to the team shortly after learning of the incident.

“Yeah, once everybody got in,” Shanahan said of the mood in the 49ers building after the team learned the news. “Nobody knew the exact story, so I was able to assure everybody as soon as they got in that he was completely fine and it was a miracle. I think the spot where he got shot was like two inches below his praying hands tattoo. The whole story is pretty amazing.”

Pearsall was finally able to join a FaceTime video call with his teammates after being treated in the hospital.

Pearsall was eventually released from San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center and was seen at the team's facility working out last week.

The 49ers would place him on the non-football injury list, giving him time to recover from the throws as well as the shoulder and hamstring injuries he's been dealing with throughout training camp.
