Christian McCaffrey, the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year, recently married former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo.
A fashion influencer criticized Culpo's wedding dress, describing her long-sleeved Dolce & Gabbana evening gown as “modest.”
“I've been a wedding dress designer for four years and I've never said this before, but I don't like this wedding dress,” said influencer Kennedy Bingham, who goes by the moniker Gown Eyed Girl, in a video posted on social media.
McCaffrey responded to Bingham's comment by criticizing her for sharing a “mean” post.

“What a wicked thing to post online. I hope you can find joy and peace in the world, like my beautiful wife does,” he commented on the Instagram video.
Bingham added that while she had no problem with the “simple and elegant” dress, she believed the dress “had no personality.” She captioned the video: “From Miss Universe to Miss Pick Me, Olivia Culpo is earning her crown.”

Culpo later weighed in on TikTok's comments section, calling Bingham a “strange human.”
Bingham's issue with Culpo's outfit seemed to center on the 32-year-old recently saying she “didn't want (the dress) to exude sex in any way, shape or form.”
Culpo told Vogue in June that she hoped to get married in a dress “that felt as serious as that commitment.”

“What you wear on your wedding day has almost nothing to do with whether or not you're going to have a long and happy marriage,” Bingham argued, adding that she was “pushing this idea of what all brides should look like.”
In the more than five-minute video, Bingham criticized Culpo for saying McCaffrey felt she was the “most beautiful” when her outfit was “timeless, draped and elegant.”

“I also think it's weird how much she talks about covering up, especially since in her daily life she doesn't dress modestly… I think the use of the word 'covered' is very off-putting, because in daily life you're not covered. And also, why does she think you're the most beautiful when you're covered up? That's a very strange thing,” she continued.

McCaffrey and Culpo tied the knot at a Rhode Island chapel on June 29.
McCaffrey finished the 2023 NFL season with a career-high 1,459 rushing yards, 14 rushing touchdowns and seven receiving touchdowns. His production led to his third Pro Bowl selection.
