The way to Omaha officially begins!
The Baseball Championship of Division I of the NCAA of 2025 begins on Friday, and the tournament looks as stacked as ever. Vanderbilt, who has just won the SEC tournament, is the general seed number 1. The rest of the eight main national seeds are Texas in number 2, Arkansas in number 3, Auburn in number 4, North Carolina in number 5, LSU in number 6, Georgia in No. 7 and Oregon State Group, and 13 SEC general teams made the Tourney – a new record.
In particular, the preseason No. 1 Texas A&M, who made a brave effort in the SEC tournament, did not make this year's group after advancing to the Championship series in Omaha last year. Defensor Tennessee champion is number 14 in general.
This year's host sites include eight SEC schools in LSU, Texas, Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Georgia and Tennessee. The other eight host sites include three ACC teams in the state of Florida, North Carolina and Clemson, two of the Big Ten in UCLA and Oregon (this is the first time that the Big Ten has multiple regional hosts in the same season), and the last three are coastal Carolina and Southern Miss del Sun Belt and the Independent Oregon State.
