What happens when the White House criticizes musicians? Ask the beach boys

To the editor: A White House Advisor who criticizes Bad Bunny's selection to perform the part -time show for the Super Bowl (“Anyone calling Bad Bunny an American needs a geography lesson.” On October 4) he remembers James Watt (Secretary of the Interior of President Reagan) against the Beach Boys. Watt announced that the Beach Boys would not be part of the 1983 Independence Day celebrations in the National Mall because they attracted what he called the “Incorrect element”. I preferred someone more healthy, like Wayne Newton, who acted that day. Criticism was quick and almost universal. Even Nancy Reagan called the Beach Boys “well, outstanding people.”

To the editor: The notion of immigration and customs application agents that patrol the Super Bowl 2026, who seek undocumented residents, is simply ridiculous. First of all, how many undocumented people have $ 8,600 to spend capriciously on a Super Bowl ticket? Not many, I guess.

In addition, because ICE has so much intention in its rounding mission (and because the Supreme Court Recently cleared the way for racial profile), agents could inadvertently pick up other fans, such as Latin CEOs and Latin film stars and television that attended. If ICE really attends, all Latinos must remain alert.
