To the editor: It is amazing that an administration that claims to be so pro-family, pro-children and pro-fertility would even consider making children care more expensive and heavy for parents (“With Head Start in danger, Trump's administration threatens child care of 800,000 children,” April 23).
As a worried member of our community, a passionate defender of children and families and a new mother in shock in the more than $ 30,000 per year that I am now paying for child care, I know that these attacks against child care and the start -up head will have long -term devastating consequences for our children, families, economy and the future of our country. I urge our members of Congress to stop the devastating Trump administration attacks against child care and the advantage rejecting any cuts to these vital programs. The future of our children and our economy depend on it.

To the editor: If President Trump believes that eliminating the head towards Start will make him look good, he has something else.
In approximately 66% of the families of the American married rate, Both parents are working. This situation creates a desperate need for child care. If Trump wishes to increase prices with tariffs, how do you think these working families can pay the costs that come with these inconsiderate movements?

To the editor: As a public school teacher and former single mother who needs child care, I know how important the Head Start program is for families throughout our country. Head Start must expand, not finished.
Our country needs advantage so that parents can work, children can prosper and child care workers can remain in their profession. We know that children who have positive and attractive interactions in their early years, such as those provided by Head Start, are more likely to enjoy good physical and mental health during their lives. They are also in better conditions to experience, regulate and manage their emotions: key skills for subsequent school preparation. As a retired teacher, I understand the value of that for the subsequent success in the classroom.

To the editor: Seventy -one percent of women With children under 18 are in the workforce, and many others are volunteers not to pay in community organizations and classrooms. The United States needs to invest more in child care and initial head and less in military and war industries.
Head Start and Early Head Start are particularly important for the well -being of our nation. They help children prosper, provide child care workers for the opportunity to stay and grow in their profession and allow parents to work or go to school. Head Start is not only important for children, but raises the financial sustainability of families and our economy.
As a primary school teacher for 20 years, I saw first -hand the value of child and preschool child care. Quality child care experiences for young children pave the way to success in primary school and beyond.
