To the editor: When asked if Governor Tim Walz is called for sympathy and concern for the political murder in Minnesota, President Trump replied: “Why would I call it?” (“Trump says he will not call the governor of Minnesota Walz after the shootings in the legislator because” would waste time, “”, “ June 17).
It is a good question. I think the answer is that when a part of the country suffers such a serious violation of life and freedom, the entire United States decreases.
Four hundred years ago, John Donne raised and answered the same question: “Therefore, never send to whom the bell is postponed; it is played for you.”
