This time is in fact one of the constitutional crisis in the United States.

To the editor: Two months after his mandate as president, the administration of Donald Trump has created a constitutional crisis (“the United States attends to a constitutional crisis”, March 20). What does this mean? In legal language, I would say that it means that the rule of law, as well as constitutional freedoms and the separation of powers, is when leaving.

That is legal jargon. In simple language, it means that we are entering a dictatorship. The law, courts, rules and doctrines that have preserved and promoted freedom, equality and adherence to proven truths are dating the window, and protections to keep them in their place in Congress and the courts are disappearing. It is obvious.

The current president calls the judges who govern against him “crooked” and advocate for his accusation. He tells us that the judges are not chosen, forgetting that they are designated to be isolated from political pressures, not subject to them. His administration attacks lawyers and law firms because they represent their political enemies. It is not assumed that the right to the legal advisor is aimed at lawyers representing their legitimate clients.

Basically, the public is witnessing the end of freedom, equity, protections, thought policies, health, security, national defense and financial security, and the United States, as it was destined to be. Our country will disappear, unless a substantial action can be launched and prevail. That is what is at stake!
