To the editor: No, Administrator Lee Zeldin, the objective of the Environmental Protection Agency is not to make cheaper cars or companies more profitable (“Trump's EPA takes measures to withdraw dozens of environmental regulations”, March 12). Rather, the EPA mission is to “protect health and the human environment.” We expected that this mission, and its Jewish values, and do everything possible to safeguard the health, security and future of Americans. Keeping the planet and life – l'or v'dor (“From generation to generation” in Hebrew “), requires nothing less.
On the other hand, the fossil fuel industry is promoting, which has known the rapid acceleration climatic crisis. He has just announced “31 historical actions” that will undo decades of climate progress and protections. You have purged scientists and public health experts, closed the Environmental Justice Division and has recovered funds for clean energy, cars and buses.
Science makes it clear that cutting long -standing protections to “unleash” more extraction and burning fossil fuels will accelerate the waterfall towards the climatic catastrophe and threaten the future of humanity.

To the editor: Right anti-care leaders are ignoring years of overwhelming scientific evidence that supports climate change caused by humans. What they say, in essence, is that since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, humans have put billions of tons of various pollutants in the closed greenhouse of the Earth's atmosphere without having any impact. Nonsense.

To the editor: Then, our new EPA administrator proudly announces all the work to reduce greenhouse gases, exclaiming: “We are driving a dag Problem, and that finds many of Altadena's residents.

To the editor: Climate change is studied by many scientists who have gathered tons of data to support their statement that global warming is a real problem. Those of us who fight to solve climate change are done on the basis of that science, not on any religious belief.

To the editor: It was a sad news day to read about cuts to the Oceanic and Atmospheric National Administration and the EPA. Both agencies were formalized in 1970 by Republican President Richard Nixon. In the 1960s, the rivers set fire, the air was dangerous to breathe and the houses were built on toxic landfills. Sulfuric acid in the rain was killing trees and fish in lakes and was dissolving marble buildings. EPA protects US citizens from such dangers. NOAA provides crucial information about oceans, atmosphere, coastal regions, hurricanes, tornadoes, atmospheric rivers and climate change.
