To the editor: My daughter is a Delta Air Lines hostess. My stomach fell when I exceed the flight that the clash landed in Toronto on Monday originated in Minneapolis, where my daughter is.
She didn't fly that day, but watching the scene developed on television was a heartbreaking reminder of the importance of hostesses.
In the moments after the accident, his colleagues in Toronto remained remarkably calm. Within the inverted plane, they opened the emergency exit and helped the people who literally hung from their safety belts on the floor (once the roof). The passengers were quickly and safely evacuated.
Flight attendees are the first to respond to heaven. They have extensive training in medical care, safety and evacuation of a plane safely, either on the right or vice versa.
Then, the next time I fly, remember that your flight attendees are not there to simply serve drinks. They are there to save your life.
