Letters to the editor: 'The sunk cost fallacy is strong with magician'

To the editor: Blame the advisors. When the great leader disappoints, he always blames the advisors (“Why don't Maga ideologues always get what they want”? July 29).

After Mao Zedong died, his failures were largely placed in Madame Mao and the rest of the “four gang.” The “great helmsman” could never be responsible, despite having absolute power.

In a less “death of millions”, Yoko Ono has always been responsible for breaking the Beatles. Maybe John Lennon was an adult man who could decide. There is a thought.

These are just the mental gymnastics necessary to avoid blaming the person in charge. In order for supporters to light President Trump, they would mean admitting that they were wrong, something that the right end would avoid doing at all costs. The sunk cost fallacy is strong with magician.
