Letters to the editor: The Dodgers force an error with fans by accepting Visit Trump's White House

To the editor: “Dem Bums”, my Dodgers, have broken my heart for many season (“The Dodgers will visit President Trump and the White House to celebrate the title of the World Series”, March 25). But I never like this. How could Jackie Robinson's team, Sandy Koufax and Fernando Valenzuela visit this president, whose cruelty, racism and division actively seek to destroy everything that Dodgers have always adopted: the beautiful diversity of America itself? A lifelong fan of more than 70 years is ashamed of you.

To the editor: I just read that Dodgers are going to visit President Trump in the White House to honor his victory in the World Series. I have been a Dodger fan since I was a child in 1963. This is the first time that Dodgers have outraged me enough to protest. Talk about not understanding your fan base! I never thought that the Dodgers would support an authoritarian, divisive and aspirated dictator. What follows, a visit to see Russian President Vladimir Putin? Manager Dave Roberts calls him a great honor. This is not an honor for Dodgers; He is legitimizing someone who should never have recovered power.

Larry Wilson, Sierra Madre

..

To the editor: Los Angeles Dodgers must take a position and respectfully reject the administration's invitation for all the reasons why we all know, including the decision of the defense department to eliminate, and then publish, an online article that details the history of Robinson's military service.

Ball, Sherman Oaks

..

To the editor: I am still waiting for the Dodgers to compensate the evicted families when their stadium was built.
