To the editor: Here we go again, another brilliant idea of Governor Gavin Newsom (“Newsom looks for a saved process to build a delta water tunnel of $ 20 billion”, May 14). The last time, it was the fast rail system, which was delayed many times in part because he, or the other powers, had not secured the land for the railroad and stations. The costs would end up being billions of dollars in cancellations.
Will the citizens of California allow this type of thing to happen again or there will be a definitive budget with all lands, etc., secured from the beginning? Was it guaranteed not to cancel?
Hopefully politicians make this project a constructive thought from the beginning.

To the editor: Newsom says: “Our state needs to complete this project as soon as possible, so that we can store better and manage water to prepare for a hotter and dry future.”
Come on: it is likely that it is just a tricks of politicians, unions and contractors. It's about money and little to do with water.
