It is a pity that Stephen Miller could not see the beauty of Santa Monica

To the editor: The White House Cabinet Deputy Director Stephen Miller is a shame (“Stephen Miller finally comes from Los Angeles.” July 9). It is also cruel and vindictive and power management that it should not have. Shame for him.

By the way, I live in the “southern end Shabbier” of Santa Monica and I since then before Twerp was born. I love here. I love my neighborhood, with its passable streets, a somewhat diverse population and eclectic houses, some of which are lovely historical bungalows. Too bad that Miller could not appreciate anything like that and have to degrade others and ruin lives to feel better.

And even when sending this letter, I fear that I, a major, white and third generation Californian, could also become an objective of these people full of hate that now have so much power. I thought the country had learned some lessons after civil rights struggles and the shameful imprisonment of US Japanese during World War II. Tragically, we have not done it. We go back. I am disconsolate by my country.

To the editor: I suspect that many of the recent appointed and advisors of President Trump have adopted his language and evil divisive actions against brown skin immigrants to heal with him and advance their political careers. However, the recent Los Angeles Times article on Miller reminds us that his racism was formed in high school or before, and is deeply rooted and authentic.
