Homelessness is arguably Los Angeles' most difficult problem to solve. Many solutions have been proposed and tested, and yet the population of homeless residents in Los Angeles County has steadily increased from nearly 47,000 in 2016 to more than 75,000 at last count.
That surge has engendered a widespread sense of anger and despair that can often cut across partisan lines.
It is this persistent desperation that makes Angelenos feel ignored. We want to provide a space for a productive conversation about this topic, especially among people who feel their views are ignored, including homeowners, renters, and unhoused residents.
What do you want Los Angeles city and county leaders to know and what do you think they should do?
