To the editor: Benito Flores's efforts in serene must be praised (“The elderly man builds the tree house to protest the eviction from the state -owned home.” June 3). Given that Subsidies pass vs. Johnson's statementThe persistent camp of Governor Gavin Newsom Barre and the local prohibitions of sitting/lies, what options have the discourages remain that have not lived in the trees? The displacement of the elderly of our communities is cruel is often equivalent to a death sentence. Surely Newsom is aware that an average of almost Seven people die in the streets of Los Angeles every day – Many of them elderly.
How powerful it would be to see a real leadership of our governor. Why are there dozens of vacant houses in state lands in the midst of this humanitarian crisis? In fact, years ago, on the other side of the street of the Casa de Flores, the State granted a plot of land to the city with a discount and is now a prosperous community garden. Does Newsom really think you can love your path to Washington while making insignificant progress in the central political and moral crisis of our state?
