To the editor: “All men are created equal”; It seems that “they” actually refer to all men. (“Pregnant women are not incubators. Anti-abortion states should not deny them emergency care,” editorial, April 24)
Men would not tolerate being denied treatment for prostate or genital cancer because their sperm are considered human beings. They would not tolerate being told that they cannot have a vasectomy for the same reason.
Why are men allowed to control what they do with their bodies, but women, supposedly equal before the law, are denied the same control?
