Zendaya arrived at the 2025 Golden Globes with a massive diamond ring on her ring finger, but so far, she's offered little explanation as to whether it means more.
The 28-year-old has been dating Tom Holland for four years.
Outside the Beverly Hilton hotel, Zendaya posed in front of the cameras, showing off an oval diamond set in a thin gold band. It is not known if the ring could be for an engagement and a possible future wedding, but it was detected by cameras and social media users.
Zendaya and Holland met during filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in which Holland played the superhero and Zendaya played his love interest, MJ. The two have famously kept the details of their relationship a secret, although they have shown love and support for each other on social media over the years.
Fans went into a frenzy online when they saw the ring on Zendaya's left hand, with many frantically wondering if the star was making a big splash about her new relationship status.
X/Twitter user @ainsley_plauche asked: “Ummmm engagement ring reveal!!??”
Meanwhile, @boredandtiredk asked for confirmation. They wrote: “I need answers for this because… this ring Zendaya is wearing offers nothing BUT the commitment will be real…”
Other fans were convinced that the jewelry on her left hand was an engagement ring, arguing that the design and setting didn't fit with the aesthetic of the rest of her ensemble.
User @beccatawney said: “…and it doesn't match the rest of the jewelry she's wearing.”
The ring on Zendaya's right hand looked more glamorous, like a big, voluminous statement piece, compared to the modest piece on the opposite hand.
“She is very aware of the meaning of the left ring finger,” another person commented online.
