Woman says her sister sent her a bill after babysitting her daughter

One woman said her sister sent her a bill after babysitting her daughter.

In a TikTok video, a mother named Jessica shared how she left her daughter Victoria with her sister in the afternoon, hoping everything would go well.

However, after having to work over the weekend, Jessica asked her sister, a mother of three, if she could take care of her daughter longer. To her surprise, she received a bill from her sister for everything her daughter did.

“Here's a breakdown of everything Victoria used in my house,” the sister's text message read. “Times are getting tough and I think it's only fair that we charge for the things she used while she was here.”

Jessica's sister texted a list breaking down each charge, and some of the charges on the list were as normal as a $19 meal charge at Olive Garden to as bizarre as charging 50 cents per toilet flush.

He charged $3 for three cups of apple juice, $1.25 for “paint used while drawing,” and $3 for eating three bags of chips. Victoria also wanted to go to the park that weekend, so her sister charged Jessica $3.75 for gas to get there. She also asked for $4.50 to watch Netflix, $10 to use WiFi on the iPad, and $7 to “use electricity to play video games.”

Jessica was shocked by the $72 bill sent by her sister, who demanded she pay “by APRIL 30, 2024 to avoid interest.” Jessica responded: “You're in trouble! How do I reject this nonsense?

Jessica took to TikTok to air her complaints, pointing out how “ridiculous” many of her sister's charges were.

“How ridiculous is this girl?” she asked the viewers. “For example, she flushed the toilet five times, $10 for Wi-Fi, $4.50 for Netflix, a bag of chips, really? Actually? How ridiculous is she? Know?”

Jessica's sister, however, felt the charges were justified.

“If I had taken my niece to daycare, they would have charged her at least $150 just to take care of her,” her sister clarified in a video response. “I already have enough on my plate, you know I have a lot of people living here, so them coming here was an extra mouth to feed.”

He continued by calling Victoria “just another person breathing in my house. “Take my children away.”

“It definitely caused so much stress that you don't even realize,” he added. “I was mentally exhausted, it was very stressful having so many children here. “I just couldn’t deal with it.”

The conflict between the two sisters divided viewers, with some surprised that the sister accused her own family.

“This is crazy!” one person wrote. “Girl, it's time to have a new sister.”

“I'm on your side!! Who gets paid for a favor?” asked another. Meanwhile, someone else commented: “I babysit my sister's kids for free, they eat all my food and leave a mess, but I love them like if they were mine, so I never thought about asking for money.”

Some defended some of the sister's decisions, such as charging for food from Olive Garden.

“I wet the bed and Olive Garden, the rest is crazy,” one person noted.

“The only valid charges are Olive Garden food and bed wetting,” another agreed.
