Veterinarian expresses concern over Dolce & Gabbana launching strange dog perfume | Lifestyle

A vet has expressed concern about Dolce and Gabbana's new alcohol-free perfume for dogs, named 'Fefé' after Domenico Dolce's poodle.

The €99 (£81) fragrance has been deemed suitable for animals because it follows the Italian 'Safe Pet Cosmetics' protocol, designed to ensure a degree of safety for cosmetic products for animals comparable to that required for humans.

Some veterinarians approve of the product, according to the official website dedicated to 'Fefé', but not all agree with its use in dogs as it can interfere with their sense of smell and mask bad odors that could be a symptom of disease.
