Your support helps us tell the story.
My recent work focusing on Latino voters in Arizona has shown me how crucial independent journalism is to giving voice to underrepresented communities.
Your support is what allows us to tell these stories and draw attention to issues that are often overlooked. Without your contribution, these voices may not be heard.
Every dollar you donate helps us continue to shed light on these critical issues in the run-up to the election and beyond.

The boy meets the world Former student Trina McGee revealed she had a miscarriage three months after sharing that she was pregnant.
The 55-year-old actor shared the news during an episode ofThe Tamron Hall Showwhich aired on September 23.
“I lost the baby,” said McGee, who was expecting her first child with husband Marcello Thedford. “We weren’t expecting it. It was towards the end of the first trimester. We don’t really have any concrete reason for it.”
She added: “Still, I feel very grateful to have the experience of being able to conceive at this age and at this time.”
McGee went on to recall how difficult her experience was after her abortion, noting that she experienced “a lot of depression.”
“It was very hard to get out of bed. There’s a lot that goes on when you really want to have a family and you want your family to be complete,” said the mother of three adult children. “You have a lot of dreams. And yeah, it was very hard to face the fact that that wasn’t going to happen at this crossroads point.”
She added that there have been “so many women who have come up to her” since she announced her pregnancy in June.
When Hall asked the couple if they were trying to get pregnant again, McGee said she wasn't sure.
“Part of me doesn’t want to go through this ever again,” she said. “But then another part of me is like, ‘Ah.’ So I think the conclusion I came to is that we’re just going to keep loving each other. If something happens that way, fine, but I don’t want to create anxiety for myself again by thinking, ‘Oh, I have to have another baby, because this didn’t work out. ’ Sometimes it’s really better to let go and let God do the work.”
McGee also shared that she and her husband plan to foster a baby girl living in Belize, before adding: “We would really like to have a tribe. We would like to have a family. And that’s what we’re going to work on, whether it comes naturally or not.”
In June, McGee first revealed her pregnancy when she posted a photo of herself on the beach in Malacate, Belize, showing off her baby bump in a blue top and white low-rise pants. One user wrote, “Baby bump.” McGee replied, “Yep.”
The television regular, who played Angela Moore in The boy meets the world – she also shared the news on her Instagram. “At the tender age of 54, I have found myself pregnant. Please bless us with your prayers for a safe delivery. Thank you,” her post read.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight Earlier this year, she spoke out about some of the backlash she received for having a baby, which included people online telling her she was “too old” to be a mother again.
“Just pure joy, pure joy, and I don’t participate in any of the negativity that people have to say about it. I’m very happy. I’ve been blessed, and that’s it,” she said. AND“And the only thing I care about – I only have one job now – is having this baby, and that’s what I do.”
“It is a personal decision, but you have to be realistic. You have to be realistic about life expectancy, you have to make predictions,” she added about her pregnancy. “And you have to understand that when you have a baby at this age, what you have to have for him is a lot of wisdom, and that is the good thing about the situation.”
McGee is already a mother to Raima, 33, and Langston, 30, whom she shares with ex-husband Randall Courtland Davis. She also shares her 26-year-old son, Ezra, with a former partner.
