Travis and Jason Kelce hit supermarket shelves with a new breakfast cereal that some fans are afraid to try.

Although his background is primarily in professional football, the Kansas City Chiefs player who is dating Taylor Swift and the former Philadelphia Eagles star will be launching his own cereal: “Kelce Mix.”

In partnership with food conglomerate General Mills, Travis and Jason will offer their fans a mix of salty and sweet.

Why eat a bowl of Reese's Puffs alone? Craving some cinnamon crunch? Or maybe a marshmallow lick? The Kelce brothers say they've got you covered. The Kelce mix will combine Reese's Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charms in one box, creating a breakfast they claim will satisfy the taste buds.

As seen in a Today According to a report published on July 20, the cereal box will feature the two NFL stars, grinning from ear to ear with Travis’ arm around his brother’s shoulder. Travis is pictured wearing a blue and white zip-up T-shirt, a black baseball cap, and silver hoop earrings. Meanwhile, Jason is pictured wearing a light blue T-shirt with his signature thick beard on display. Travis and Jason will also be in cartoon form, holding spoons above their heads alongside three bites of cinnamon toast with the Lucky Charms leprechaun at their side.

Additionally, along with the new blend, customers will be offered four limited-edition boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms and Reese's Puffs featuring the brand's signature “Kelces' Pick” logo.

Kelce Mix and Kelces' Pick boxes will be available for purchase starting in September.

According to Jason, 36, he and Travis pride themselves on finding the best cereal combinations, an off-field skill that no one knew about.

In the General Mills press release, the now-retired athlete admitted, “I take my cereal game seriously, and thank goodness, because Cereal Training Camp was no joke.” And Jason isn’t lying.

Prior to the launch of their cereals, he and Travis attended “Cereal Training Camp,” a promotional series in which the two brothers competed in games like Lucky Charms Marshmallow Mission and Cinnadust sprinkler. The videos will be posted on social media and aired on television.

He continued: “It is an honour for us to take home the win and consider ourselves officially included in the cereal culture with Kelce Mix.”

As for the Chiefs tight end, he has high hopes for this cereal to be the “most valuable player” of all the cereals in the aisle. As a kid, Kelce says he would devour several boxes a week along with his older brother.

“As kids, we would go through two to three boxes of our favorite cereals a week, so being able to partner with General Mills now is a full circle moment for us,” Travis said in the press release, according to Today.

Online, fans aren't too sure about their favourite football duo's new breakfast option.

“I love it. My favorite way to eat cereal is to mix 2 or 3 kinds and add fruit. A salad soup for breakfast, so to speak,” wrote one foodie on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Another interested fan proclaimed: “I mean, I’ll buy a box just because I think it’s great, but there’s no way these flavors together are going to taste good.”

“Sounds like diabetes, but it’s delicious,” argued one opponent, while a second X user agreed: “There’s nothing like athletes selling sugar to their fans…”

A skeptic: “This has to be one of the most unhealthy things ever.”

One cruel person suggested that Travis and Jason wouldn’t have gotten this deal with the brand if it weren’t for Travis’ Grammy-winning girlfriend. “Taylor Swift has done miracles for their careers,” she wrote.
