Tom Daley finished knitting his jumper for the Paris 2024 Olympics days after winning a silver medal in the show jumping event.

In an Instagram video shared on July 31, the 30-year-old athlete revealed the final product after finally finishing the knitting project he was working on while watching the competition. A shirtless Daley began the video by holding up the red, white, and blue sweater and explained, “We have 'Paris 24' on the front with the French and British flag on the bottom, and 'Daley' on the back.”

Daley highlighted the small details that made the sweater more personal, including his initials “TD” on the left sleeve, as well as the number five referencing his fifth Olympic appearance on the other sleeve. He noted that he liked the sweater's “boxy fit,” adding, “It's always so fun to have this as a little memento of my time here in Paris. But I think it's cute. What do you think?”

In the comments section, people were stunned by what the sweatshirt created, with Adidas' Instagram account even calling him a bona fide fashion designer. The company wrote: “I'll add fashion designer to CV.”

“Tom, a world-class athlete, just like your diving!” added the Eurosport account.

“I love it. Wow! You knit so fast,” one person commented. “I don't even knit my sweaters that fast. Amazing work! Especially how you combined so many features throughout the project!” [You’re] amazing!”

“You are too talented to put into words!” someone else exclaimed.

Daley also showed off his latest creation on the Instagram account for his knitwear company, Made with Love by Tom Daley. On July 17, in an Instagram post, he teased the new creation, hinting that he would be working on a new garment while joining the crowd as a spectator, watching other athletes compete. In addition to sketches of his creation, the athlete wrote, “My 5th Olympics are underway! Just wanted to jump on here and say thank you so much for all the support and let you know we have a lot of exciting things coming up for #madewithlove.”

The Olympic diver last went viral for his knitting hobby after he was spotted knitting during the Tokyo Olympics.

Daley came out of retirement to win silver alongside Noah Williams in the men's 10-meter synchronized platform on July 29 at the Paris Aquatics Center. As for whether the 2024 Paris Olympics will be his last, Daley told Olympics.com that remains to be seen.

“Who knows, you know? I’ll definitely be there,” he said of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. “I don’t know in what capacity, anything can happen in four years. I’m an old man now. I’ll be 34 then, so yeah, we’ll see.”
