So far around 50 registrations have been made in Vetigo.

The man behind Vetigo is Abin Joy, a student of the BVSc course at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences, Kerala Veterinary University.

Matrimonial or dating sites are some of the most visited places on the web. Now, a new matrimonial website has been developed, which does not cater to humans, but to their pets.

The website is reportedly known as Vetigo. Their goal is to find suitable partners or companions for breeding companion dogs. More reports claim that it is a part of the Student Innovative Project of the Veterinary College, Mannuthy, in Thrissur, Kerala.

The man behind the innovative site is Abin Joy, a student of the BVSc course at the institution's Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. The first phase of the project reportedly received funding of Rs 1.5 lakh, and was also supported by the state government's Kerala Innovation and Development Strategic Council or K-DISC. The main task of the organization is to find innovative solutions to real-life problems.

In the first phase of the project, the website domain was acquired and then launched. The creation of the website is in process while registration has begun. The website will reportedly display basic information about the pets such as breed, sex, age, weight, vaccination information and owner details. Owners can also include the Kennel Club of India number if they have registered with it. The promoters have submitted an application for financing the second phase of the project. To log in to the website, users can visit its official link, https://vet-igo.in/.

Their goal is not only to include dogs, but also to leverage it for cats in the future. Developer Abin Joy told media portal Deccan Chronicle that an online veterinary consultation center will be made available to owners. So far, users have made around 50 pet registrations. According to Joy, they expect more registrations once their advertising accelerates. At the moment, the service is provided free of charge.
