These national forestry paths of Los Angeles are closed after Eaton's fire

Much of the National Forest of Ángeles reopened on Thursday after a weeks closure due to forest fires and red flag warnings, but some paths and beloved camps will remain inaccessible while the earth is recovered from the fires.

The areas that were burned in the Eaton fire in January and the bridge fire in September will remain closed, an area that represents around 17% of the 700,000 acres forest. The closing orders of both fires will expire on December 31, 2025, although the United States forest service has the authority to extend those orders if necessary.

One of the greatest losses for the outdoor community of the is the closure of paths in Big Santa Anita Canyon, which had just reopened in October after being closed for four years. The Bobcat fire extended through the area in 2020, and the volunteer teams spent hundreds of hours rebuilding trails, including the road to the serene 55 feet falls.

Chantry's flat recreation area in Big Santa Anita Canyon is technically open, but due to Eaton's fire, the Los Angeles County Public Works have temporarily closed the road section administered by the county that takes visitors to the area to the area . This reduces access to the lovely Adams Pack station (and its famous donkeys) and a resistant camp. Adams Pack station was told that it could be three or four months before the road reopens, according to the store's Instagram page.

Several miles of mountain and popular cycling trails remain closed, including much of the National Recreation Path of Gabrielino, a treasure of 28.8 miles popular among hikers, backpackers, riders and mountain cyclists.

This is what is closed in the National Forest of Angeles due to Eaton's fire. The Times previously informed on the 26 paths that burned in Eaton's fire and the 25 paths that burned in the fire of the bridge.
