As the summer sun continues to beat down on cities around the world, many are in the midst of wedding season, jetting from one holiday to the next, celebrities included.
This weekend, celebrities, Bollywood icons, business moguls and political tycoons will gather for a lavish love affair, the “wedding of the summer,” and watch Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant say “I do.” Ambani, the heir to India’s richest man, and Merchant have welcomed everyone from Kim Kardashian, Nick Jonas and John Cena to Arjun Kapoor and Disha Patani as their guests in Mumbai, India.
Guests have already enjoyed days-long celebrations, including a private pre-wedding Rihanna concert in March and a European getaway with stops in Portofino, Rome and Cannes. Now, those granted permission are gearing up for a series of ceremonies to be held at Ambani's home and the Jio World Convention Centre.
Between traditional draping, careful embroidery and purposeful colours, guests have so far worn kaleidoscopic designs, honouring the irrevocable work of fashion creators in India. Men have sported energetic formal attire, while women have worn beaded couture ensembles, pairing a modern hue with accessories such as aviator sunglasses and trainers.

Anant Ambani
The groom dazzled in a red, white and yellow printed kurta set and sneakers. Ambani's blouse was embellished with a silver elephant brooch and metallic stitching.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra
The “Sucker” singer opted for a bright baby pink Sabyasachi sherwani and a Richard Mille watch, while the actress kept the palette warm with a lehenga (a traditional Indian long skirt) and matching bra choli made by Tarun Tahiliani couture.
Kim Kardashian
The 43-year-old actress swapped her newly blonde locks for her classic jet black and wore a bright red two-piece with long tassels adorning the bottom edge of her blouse. She paired the stunning ensemble with a dazzling crystal bindi.
Khloe Kardashian
For the Ambani event on July 12, Khloe exuded an angelic aura in a long-sleeved white and gold ensemble. Layered necklaces draped across her chest, while beautiful beads danced around the hem of her skirt.
John Cena
The 47-year-old professional wrestler clasped his hands and posed in a blue sherwani with gold floral detailing on the top of the shoulders. The top was paired with loose cream-coloured trousers and brown pointed-toe shoes.
Varun Dhawan
Dhawan smiled on the coral carpet in a kurta ensemble with an unbuttoned maroon blouse, white trousers, black shoes and a long patchwork scarf around his neck.
Arjun Kapoor
Kapoor's look was golden (literally). The 29-year-old film star squinted at the cameras through her tinted sunglasses, which she paired with a sequined gold kurta set emblazoned with the phrase “Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai,” which translates to “It's my friend's wedding.”
Ananya Panday
Panday shined under the camera flash in a vibrant yellow lehenga set embellished with splashes of sequins. To complete the lively look, the Bollywood star prioritized comfort with a pair of white sneakers laced underneath her ankle-length skirt.
Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali
The brother-sister duo accompanied each other to Ambani's wedding in contrasting colour palettes. Khan wore a pink lehenga by Simar Dugal alongside Ali, who sported an all-black formal suit.
Disha Patani
The 32-year-old actress added a dash of butter yellow to the carpet, wearing a lehenga with silver embellishments stitched across the lightweight fabric.
