I am James Gunn. I am the writer and director of 'Superman'. So, in this scene, we have David Korenswet as Clark Kent Slash Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. They are coming out. And Lois calls Clark for writing interviews with himself to put in the newspaper. And he says, well, you could ever interview me. And she says, right now? And this is the beginning of the part where she interviews him. “Well, Boravia invaded Jarhanpur. And I introduced myself and told them it wasn't right.” “AND?” “And he broke some tanks and things, and a couple of airplanes, and some other things. There were no casualties or significant injuries.” “Did you interact at all with the president of Boravia, Vasil Ghurkos?” “A very small amount.” “What is a very small amount?” “That was among us.” “All this is in the registry.” “Yes, but that conversation was between the two.” “Yes, and I would ask that question whether or not I knew the answer.” I started asking this movie by asking the question, what would happen if Superman were real? What would happen if it were a true human being with real defects, real beliefs and a real relationship with this woman, Lois Lane? And what would your clashes be? And that's where this scene comes into play. And although this scene is its policy and moral beliefs, it is also their relationship at a point where they have been dating for about three months, as many relationships happen. And we begin to see that there are differences in the way our partner looks at the world. And often those are the things that can break a relationship or strengthen it. I just wanted to keep things simultaneously grounded, but also quickly: ” – You illegally entered a country, inserting yourself in the midst of an incredibly heated:” “No, no, no. It clashes a minute.” ” – Geopolitical situation”. “Wait a second.” -In only they go and go quickly, but they also maintain everything as real as possible and give it a surprise for 'Superman' spectators, who are not accustomed to watching a spelling of 12 minutes in the middle of their superhero movies. Superman is baffled by how unstoppable Lois is and how he is not giving him a break. And he is so kind, somehow, that he is surprised. And she feels aggressive. “You are being dishonest, because you know as good as I am that the Boravia government is not well intentionally.” “I think that is almost certain the case. But do I know?” I wrote this scene very early. And it was a scene with which I had a screen exam by David and Rachel to make sure they had chemistry. “Do you think this is going well?” And they were very, very good. “I think I'm doing a good job.”
