According to the DM, ID cards are mandatory for devotees.
On Shravani Mela, devotees visit Deoghar during the month of Shravan and offer prayers at the Baba Baidyanath Dham temple.
Shravani Mela, one of the largest religious congregations in the eastern region of India, will be organized on July 22. In this event, devotees from various parts of the country and abroad visit Deoghar during the month of Shravan and offer prayers at the Baba Baidyanath Dham temple.
According to Local 18, the administration has spared no effort in preparations. This is because a large number of Kawanriyas are likely to arrive at the event this year. For those who don't know, Kawanriya pilgrims walk barefoot to Deoghar to pour water on the shivlings that sing Bol Bam. The municipal council has written a letter to the district administration regarding proper management of Shravani Mela. The administration has assured that they will take appropriate measures for the success of the fair.
Naval District Magistrate Chaudhary spoke about the facilities that will be provided to the Kawanriyas in this event. According to the DM, there is a possibility that telephone and mobile numbers, route table, WiFi, lost and found microphones and telephone booths will be available. The official said that if any person is separated from his family and does not have cell phones, then he can contact them at the fair premises. According to the official, these steps will help the Kawanriyas pilgrims complete their journey to the Baba Baidyanath Dham temple.
The DM also revealed that the administration will try to do something unique this year. According to Chaudhary, they will give maximum focus on the cleanliness system, drinking water, electricity and healthcare facilities at Shravani Mela. Apart from these aspects, he added that security and accommodation arrangements will also be taken care of. Chaudhary said initiatives are also being taken to repair the Dharamshala already built here.
According to the DM, ID cards are also mandatory for devotees, failing which Kawanriya pilgrims will not be allowed entry into the ghats. The officer has assured that he and his team are always present so that the devotees do not have any problems. He added that traders have been asked not to sell anything without a tariff schedule. Mr. Chaudhary has taken this step to avoid disputes between pilgrims and traders.
