Sarah Jessica Parker's shoe company will soon be closed.

According to a statement sent to World Water Day and Footwear NewsSarah Jessica Parker's SJP will close its business in the fall of 2024.

Founded by the Sex in the city The fashion icon, who posed as Manolo Blahnik-obsessed columnist Carrie Bradshaw, has offered Parker footwear lovers brightly coloured pumps, sandals, ballet flats and boots since 2014. From dazzling pointed-toe heels to bow-adorned ballet flats, customers have chosen from a wide range of shoes, signed by the fashion icon herself.

“After 10 colorful years, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker has made the difficult decision to close its doors this fall,” the company’s statement read.

The message continues: “The SJP Collection team expresses its enormous gratitude to all of its loyal customers and followers, as well as to all those with whom they have worked.”

While the fate of SJP’s retail stores in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar is not yet determined, the brand’s store on Bleecker Street in New York will close on August 25. Customers will be able to shop online until further notice. Online, shoe prices are reduced from more than $500 to $450 or less.

Parker chose George Malkemus as a partner at SJP when the company was created in 2014. Malkemus, who passed away in 2021, was responsible for creating and increasing desire and demand for Manolo Blahniks, helping to launch the company in the United States after leaving his position as an editor at Bergdorf Goodman.

Parker has not yet commented on the company's closure. However, the actress did take to Instagram on August 2 to tease a new fall 2024 shoe style from SJP's collection.
