Sahil pays homage to his Indian roots in a sincere way while showcasing prominent Indian designers through his clothing, which embraces Indian culture.
Sahil Salathia knows how to keep his audience on the edge of their seats with his eccentric and unique fashion sense. The actor loves to experiment with his appearance and does not shy away from wearing even the most daring outfits. Currently, he is having a gala time attending the ongoing New York Fashion Week in the United States. And while there, he also found a unique way to pay tribute to his mother through one of her outfits.
She proudly represents Indian culture through her appearance, as she wears outfits by Indian designers such as Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Siddartha Tytler, and Puneet Kapoor, among others. He will also be styled by some of the designers who will be showing his work at Fashion Week. Additionally, he will be wearing an outfit that also has some family ties. A Delhi-based designer named Nafisa Rachel William restored and turned Sahil's mother's saris into a cape for him to wear to NYFW.
Excited about the piece, Sahil shares, “Three of my mother's Banarasi sarees have been turned into a huge cape. It's very interesting and I'm excited to use it today. Nafisa has turned those saris into a cape, restoring an outfit that is 35 years old. It is a wonderful story when you keep your family tradition alive and carry that vintage value with you on a platform like this.”
Sahil has been making waves with his fashion choices in India for a long time, and now he is doing so globally too. The actor represents many stories through his outfits and restoring his mother's sarees by transforming them into a cape is another beautiful story that he will tell through his clothes. It is a proud moment for all Indians to see Sahil representing our values through his fashion on such a great global platform.
