There is no turning back for the Duke of Sussex after a series of disputes with his brother William, the Prince of Wales, and his father, King Charles, palace sources said. The Sunday Telegraph.

It comes after friends of the duke told a newspaper that he would be willing to step in and play a role while his father receives cancer treatment.

Harry considered becoming a US citizen

Prince Harry has said living in America is “amazing – I love it every day” but stopped short of pledging allegiance to the star-spangled banner in a revealing interview.

The duke spoke to Good Morning America reporter Will Reeve about King Charles' shocking cancer diagnosis, his family life and his thoughts on becoming an American citizen.

When asked 'do you feel American', the duke said: “Do I feel American? No. I don't know how I feel.

When asked if he would consider becoming a US citizen, Harry added: “I have considered it, yes.”

Asked what would stop him from doing so, the duke said: “I have no idea. I'm standing here next to it with these guys. “U.S. citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind, but it is certainly not something that is a high priority for me right now.”

When will Harry return to the UK?

Buckingham Palace has not provided details about Charles' cancer and Harry refused to divulge any information when asked about his “perspective” on the King's health in an interview on Friday.

But he did say he would visit his father in the future: “I have other trips planned that would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so I will stop by and see my family as much as I can. can.”

Harry, 39, flew in from the US to spend time with his dad following his cancer diagnosis, but it appears the couple didn't spend much quality time together.

There was no meeting between the duke and his brother, the Prince of Wales, last Tuesday after Harry spent 30 minutes with Charles at Clarence House.

Royal aides reportedly stopped the Duke of Sussex from meeting his father at Sandringham because they feared they would “never get rid of him.”

“Harry came to see his father, hoping to go to Sandringham. But instead he was asked to be at Clarence House and was limited to 30 minutes,” a source said. Sun.

'Zero percent chance' of Harry returning to the royal fold

Buckingham Palace advisers have insisted there is “zero per cent chance” of Prince Harry stepping in to help the new, slimmed-down monarchy while King Charles undergoes cancer treatment.

Palace sources have reported The Sunday Telegraph that “there is no turning back” for Harry, who said in an interview in the United States this week that he thought the King's illness was an opportunity to unify his family.

The terms of the Sandringham Summit, which detailed Harry and Meghan's departure from the working royal family, are believed to remain in place, ruling out a “half in, half out” approach to the monarchy.

Reports on Saturday suggested that the Duke of Sussex had told friends he would consider a temporary return to the company.

King Charles wants to reconcile with Harry

Prince Harry and his father are said to have had several “warm exchanges” since the king's illness was diagnosed, The Times claimed.

A royal source also told the newspaper that Charles, 75, wants to reconcile and see more of his son, and believes doing so would benefit the monarchy.

The source told The Times: “On all practical levels it makes perfect sense for the family to come together to support the King while he is ill.

“Much has been said on both sides in recent years, but that has never diminished the fundamental blood bond, and there are now pragmatic aspects to consider, with the welfare of the King and Kate being paramount in this.

“Details of the Clarence House meeting and subsequent conversations are private, but the feeling is that this deal could work.”
