In this month, devotees fast on Monday and offer water and milk to the Shivling. Along with this, Belpatra is also offered, which is very dear to Lord Shiva. According to belief, to please Lord Shiva, a Bel plant can be planted in the house in the month of Sawan. Priest Shubham said that a good pot is needed if one aspires to plant the Belpatra plant at home. It is better if the pot is made of soil, he added. After this, put sandy or stony soil in the pot. For planting, the seed found in the Bel fruit is used.
Before planting, wash and dry the seed. You should keep in mind that the plant may take three to four years to grow. Priest Shubham said that this plant needs a lot of water to grow. The plant also needs enough sunlight to grow. Keep the pot of the vine plant in a place where it receives direct sunlight. You can use eucalyptus or neem to protect the plant from insects.
