Rebel Wilson reveals she never met her fiancee's parents

Rebel Wilson has revealed that she has not yet met her fiancee Ramona Arguma's parents.

The couple has been together since 2022 and shares a one-year-old daughter, named Royce Lillian Elizabeth, whom they welcomed through a surrogate. However the Pitch perfect The actress admitted that she has not had the opportunity to meet her partner's parents.

“Ramona was born in Latvia and it's not as LGBTQ+ friendly as other countries,” Wilson said in an interview with Today.

“I just think some people need a little more time, and some people don't even realize it, and that's okay, and that's their decision,” he said. “There are still parts of the world that don't accept it.”

Even though Arguma's parents never met their future granddaughter and daughter-in-law, the family of three will soon travel to Europe to see them. “I'm really excited to meet them because I know they're very smart,” Wilson said, adding that her fiancee's mother is a doctor.

He Bridesmaids The actress announced the relationship in an Instagram post of her and Arguma along with a caption that read, “I thought I was looking for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all along was a Disney Princess.”

He noted that to have more control over their relationship and when the general public knew, they shared the news “a few months” before they were really ready to do so.

“Some people in his family didn't know at all and found out through the press,” Wilson admitted. “I feel very lucky because I, for one, have literally not had a single negative reaction.”

In an attempt to start building a connection with Arguma's parents, they started talking on FaceTime from time to time. “Roycie is the real icebreaker — they've been FaceTiming her,” Wilson said.

Royce was welcomed in November 2022 after Wilson decided to freeze her eggs when she was 40 years old. “I was lucky to get an embryo from the process because of my age and because I have polycystic ovary syndrome,” Wilson said in a previous interview with Today about the birth of his daughter. “With only one embryo, I decided to opt for surrogacy. “Physically I could have had the baby, but there was a much higher statistical chance that it would work with a surrogate.”

Now that Royce is over a year old, Wilson has also reflected on what she wasn't prepared for before becoming a mother. “The surprising thing is that you never leave the house without having plans,” she said in an interview with People back in March.

“You can't just say, 'I feel like going to the movies' and just leave the house. No no no.”

“You have to plan what will happen with the baby,” he continued. “Is the baby coming with you? Have the baby's meals been prepared? You have to communicate about the baby's schedule, when his nap time is, all that.”

She added: “Obviously, I knew I would love her so much because I wanted so much for her to come into my world. But love when I see her face and go, it's like so much, you want to eat her. “She is so cute and adorable.”
