Raksha Bandhan 2024: Date

According to the Hindu calendar, Sawan Purnima Tithi will begin at 3:04 am on Monday, August 19 and end at 11:55 pm on the same day. Based on the date of sunrise, the festival of Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on August 19.

Auspicious coincidences:

This year, six auspicious coincidences are taking place on Raksha Bandhan, so the festival of Rakhi will be very auspicious and fruitful. On the day of Rakhi, Raj Panchak, Sawan Somvaar, Sawan Purnima are celebrated, while Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga, Ravi Yoga and Shobhan Yoga are taking place. Due to these auspicious coincidences, the festival of Raksha Bandhan will be special.

  1. Raj Panchak: On Rakshabandhan day, Raj Panchak begins at 7:00 PM and continues till 5:53 AM on the next day. It brings success in property and government work.

  2. Sawan Somvaar: Sawan Somvaar is considered to be a very auspicious day. On this day, people fast and worship Lord Shiva. This time, the month of Shravan also ends on Monday. The wishes of the devotees will be fulfilled by fasting and worshipping on Sawan Somvaar.
