Speaking about the inspiration behind the Mission Kashmir actress' look on the Cannes red carpet, fashion stylist and celebrity wardrobe designer Leepakshi Ellawadi told News18, “Preity has always been very important in promoting Indian designers. We chose something sober and delicate for the red carpet. The jewelry is from Chopard and the outfit is from Seema Gujral. Seema has put a lot of effort into this saree, so many thanks to Seema for that.”

The pink saree was her second look at this year's Cannes Film Festival. For her first look, Preity wore an elegant Vivienna Lorikeet gown beaded and enhanced with white sequins, pearls and crystals.
