After weeks of rumors, Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams have been spotted together holding hands, and fans believe they are officially dating.

Ordinary people Star Mescal, 28, and “Close to You” singer Abrams, 24, sparked dating rumors when they were spotted together at a restaurant in June of this year.

Abrams is also believed to have referred to the Gladiator II star, in his song “Normal Things,” and fans suggested the lyrics were veiled references to Mescal's featured role in the series based on Sally Rooney's book.

In July, the couple was spotted shopping and have since kept a seemingly low profile. But now it seems they've dropped the pretense in new images and footage obtained by the site. Daily Mailin which Mescal and Abrams are seen holding hands as they walk together through London.

The couple were reportedly heading to the Mountain restaurant in Soho.

The actor rose to fame when he appeared as the studious and athletic Connor Waldron in Ordinary people alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones, which sparked a lot of interest in his romantic life outside the show.

But the actor said last year he was determined to keep his love life private, following the media attention he received following his split from Boygenius singer Phoebe Bridgers.

Mescal and Bridgers began dating in 2020 and rumors of their engagement first surfaced in April 2022. During Mescal's interview with The Guardian In November of that year, the publication wrote that he and Bridgers “were engaged.”

The Independent has reached out to representatives for Mescal and Abrams for comment.

However, the magazine later retracted the claim, sparking rumors that the couple had split.
