David Beckham and the King compared “beekeeping tips” when they met before the former England football captain was named an ambassador for the King Foundation.

The former sports star was confirmed as an official supporter of Charles' charity just weeks after she reportedly met the monarch privately to learn more about its work.

In photographs released to mark the announcement, Beckham appears with the King at the gate of Highgrove, Charles's retreat in Gloucestershire, and is shown testing his carpentry skills with foundation students taking carpentry courses at the School of Furniture. Snowdon.

Beckham said: “Having developed a love of the countryside, I am also on a personal mission to learn more about rural skills, which are so fundamental to the foundation's work.

“The only question now is when he will realize that he has become a prisoner of his own pride and that returning the keys will bring him much greater comfort and the continued support of his family.”

King Charles won't fix the rift with Harry and Meghan “any time soon”, says one royal, but there is a way forward for father and son.

Hardman also suggested that Harry had not told the full story, but there could be a cynical reason for this. “If you read that book, and like I said, it's amazing, but if you get to the part about his wedding to Meghan, it actually comes down to about four or five pages. Now, as an author, that tells me one thing and one thing only: the second part could be on the way.
