The Princess of Wales has undertaken her first professional engagement since completing chemotherapy for an undisclosed type of cancer.
Kate, 42, attended a meeting with her Early Childhood Education Task Force at Windsor Castle yesterday afternoon, marking her third appearance at the Court Circular this year and her first work engagement.
It said: “The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron of The Prince and Princess of Wales’ Royal Foundation, held an Early Years Reunion at Windsor Castle this afternoon.”
The meeting was reportedly likely in relation to the Shaping Us campaign, which aims to raise the profile of the importance of early childhood development and the impact it can have later in life.
Meanwhile, the Duke of Sussex will return to the UK later this month as part of his charity work with WellChild, which supports seriously ill British children and young people.
The charity will hold its annual awards ceremony on September 30, and Harry, who turned 40 on Sunday, will attend the event in London in his capacity as patron.
It is not known whether he will be accompanied by his wife Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry feels 'honoured' to attend UK event this month
Harry, who turned 40 on Sunday (September 15), will attend in his capacity as patron of the charity which supports seriously ill British children and young people.
He said in a statement: “I am once again honoured to be attending this year’s WellChild Awards, which celebrate the extraordinary courage and achievements of children living with complex medical needs.
“These incredible young people, along with the carers, nurses and dedicated professionals who tirelessly support them, inspire us all. It is a real privilege to recognise such extraordinary individuals.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle encourage people to vote in US elections
On the occasion of National Voter Registration Day yesterday, they posted a joint statement on the Archewell Foundation website, explaining that they had written letters to unregistered voters encouraging them to make their voices heard.
It said: “In honor of National Voter Registration Day, the Archewell Foundation team came together for a meaningful volunteer activity to support and empower our communities.
“Using Vote Forward’s powerful letter-writing tool, our team wrote personalized letters encouraging unregistered voters to take a crucial step: registering to vote.”
The former working royals added: “Voting is not just a right; it is a fundamental way to influence the fate of our communities.
“At the Archewell Foundation, we recognize that civic engagement, regardless of political party affiliation, is critical to achieving a more just and equitable world. By participating in initiatives like this, we aim to spread the message that all voices matter.”
“Together, let’s ensure that every eligible voter is informed and empowered to participate in shaping America’s future.”
The couple moved to California in 2020 after leaving their previous roles in the British royal family.

“She and Harry still have an element of guilt they have to deal with. They both regret going public with their grievances about the family and Kate in particular,” the source said.

King Charles 'will have spoken to Prince Harry on his birthday'
A source close to the couple has claimed that King Charles would have spoken to Prince Harry on his 40th birthday, despite current tensions between the Sussexes and the royal family.
The revelation comes after the royals posted an unexpected birthday message for the duke on Sunday, which was shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
As reported by Vanity FairA source said: “It was always the King’s intention to publicly acknowledge his son’s 40th birthday, and I’m sure the King will have spoken to Harry on his birthday.
“After all, he is his son, and no matter what happens, Charles loves Harry unconditionally like any father, and Sunday was an important day.”
Harry reportedly marked the occasion low-key with his family in California and plans to celebrate further on a weekend getaway with friends.

King Charles has 'ambition' to reconcile with Prince Harry
The last time the monarch saw his youngest son was for 45 minutes in February, following the announcement of his cancer diagnosis.
A family friend told me The Daily Beast“The King has made it very clear that he loves Harry and wants to be part of his life and that of his family.

Kate and William's birthday message to Harry “was not sent personally”
A source close to the couple has claimed that the birthday message from the Prince and Princess of Wales to Prince Harry was not sent personally by the couple.
They said The Daily Beast that if the message had been sent by the future king and queen, it would have been signed “W & C” like many of their other publications.
“It was just a company thing,” the source said. “Happy birthday, blah, blah, blah.”
The source added: “It makes sense that Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace would fall in line on some essentially routine messaging around Harry.
“This shows that William is willing to respect his father’s seniority and do what is asked of him.”
