Kate Middleton: Princess of Wales will not attend Trooping the Color as never-before-seen Christmas photo with William emerges

It has been revealed that the Princess of Wales will not return to public duties for the Colonel's Review next month, but King Charles will take part in Trooping the Colour.

As colonel-in-chief of the Irish Guards, a role the princess was given in 2023, she was expected to accept the salute.

The annual celebration, which traditionally culminates with the royal family gathering on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after a display of military pomp and pageantry, will take place on June 15.

While it has been confirmed that the King will take part in the ceremony, he will inspect the soldiers from a carriage rather than on horseback, as he did in years past.

The princess has reportedly been “out and about” with her family in recent days as she continues her preventive chemotherapy treatment, prompting some speculation about a return for the princess to public duties.

Although some conflicting reports suggest Kate could return as early as the autumn and well into the new year, the Palace and royal experts have been keen to emphasize that no official return date has been planned.

Meanwhile, a Welsh bed and breakfast has shared a never-before-seen photograph of the Prince and Princess of Wales taken during a getaway last year. Duffryn Mawr Country House shared the image of the royal couple with their staff on social media.

ICYMI: King Charles and Queen Camilla enjoy an outing to see a play about family betrayal

In recent years, the Windsors have been at the center of some very public disputes, but on Tuesday night the 75-year-old was allowed to watch another dramatic story unfold.

Attending their first major public event since Rishi Sunak called a general election, Charles and Camilla visited a student performance of Beru Tessema's House Of Ife at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (Rada).

The play follows a family after the sudden death of their eldest son. The tense story sees the characters “forced to confront the traumas they have long tried to bury.”

“As the sun beats down on his north London apartment and the authoritarian head of the family arrives from Ethiopia for the funeral, tensions rise, cultures clash and past betrayals are unearthed,” the RADA website describes the production.

The couple, who visited the country as private citizens, spent three days in Nigeria celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, 63, made the comments during a speech to celebrate her husband's first year in office and spoke of her hopes for the modesty of Nigerian women and girls.

The First Lady said Nigerian women and girls “do not want to imitate or try to emulate American movie stars” with their “nudity.”

“The message here is that we have to save our children. We see how they dress,” she said.
