Princess Kate's 'reassuring' Mother's Day image 'done completely backwards', says royal biographer
The Princess of Wales felt “awful” posting an edited family photo of herself and her three children for Mother's Day, according to a royal source.
Kate said she had simply “tried to do it as best as possible” because she knew how important it was for it to be “a pretty picture.” The times reported.
The photo shows a smiling Kate Middleton surrounded by Prince Louis, Prince George and Princess Charlotte in what is the princess's first official photograph since undergoing abdominal surgery in January.
However, a few hours after it was posted on social media, photography agencies began recalling the photo, citing fears that it had been “manipulated.”
Eagle-eyed royal fans pointed out a number of editing flaws, including that the sleeve of Princess Charlotte's cardigan was misaligned.
It comes as she was pictured leaving Windsor Castle with Prince William just hours after apologizing for editing the photo, sparking further speculation about her well-being after the operation. The palace has been pressured to release the original Mother's Day photograph.

A mistake made in a family photo is more likely to be a mistake than a conspiracy, claims former royal aide
Princess Kate's edited Mother's Day photo mistake is more likely a “gaffe” than a conspiracy, the Queen's former communications secretary has said.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4, Simon Lewis said the mistake was very serious, but it was most likely a “mistake” rather than a conspiracy.
But David Yelland, former editor of SunHe stated that it was a “very serious” error and that it was a deepfake.

With a moving portrait of the Princess of Wales and her family, Kensington Palace has managed to turn a “good news” story into a story about trust and truth in the monarchy, and has only fueled the theories of conspiracy that was supposed to put an end to them. says Sean O'Grady.
