The Princess of Wales made a surprise appearance in Scotland as she continues treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.

Kate, 42, has made only two official appearances this year but was photographed attending church with Prince William on Saturday (August 25).

The princess travelled in the passenger seat as her husband drove her to Crathie Kirk church near Balmoral Castle.

Royal author Phil Dampier has described his summer holiday in Aberdeenshire as a “positive” step in his recovery, according to Fabulous magazine.

This comes amid reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “desperate” to have peace talks with the royal family.

The Sussexes' relationship with the royals has deteriorated since they stepped down as working members of the family in 2020.

A close source told the Daily Mail“It seems pretty clear that they are desperate to start closing the gap.”

The relationship is believed to have deteriorated as a result of Harry and Meghan's decision to give several revealing interviews about their time as working royals.

Kate wants Harry and William to 'kiss and make up'

During what has been a difficult year for the royal family, one expert has speculated that peace between the warring siblings would be one less “cloud” to deal with.

Real author Christopher Andersen said Fox News“Kate was very close to Harry, it’s true. They had a special bond. They shared the same sense of humour and laughed at the same jokes. Harry used to say that Kate was the sister he never had.

“Of course, Kate would love nothing more than for the brothers to kiss and make up. It would be one less cloud hanging over the heads of the royal family.”

This comes amid reports that Harry and William's relationship has deteriorated to the point where William does not want his younger brother to attend his coronation.

However, it has been claimed that the royal family is reluctant to interact with the couple due to the number of revealing interviews they have given to the press.

A source said The Sunday Times:“The problem for the King and other members of the family is the concern that if they have a chat with Harry, it will appear in Replacement Volume two.”

Donald Trump responds to accusations that the Queen called him “rude”

Donald Trump has strongly denied claims in a new biography of Queen Elizabeth II that she found him “rude”.

Craig Brown's upcoming biography 'A Voyage Around the Queen' claims she found him “very rude”.

But Trump hit back, accusing the author of being a “scoundrel” and claiming that “he was his favorite president,” according to the Daily Mail.

The presidential candidate said the allegations were “totally false” and added: “I had a great relationship with the queen. She loved me and I loved her.”

In an excerpt from the biography published by the Daily Mail, Brown also claimed that the Queen believed Trump “must have some sort of arrangement” with Melania, as the only explainable reason she would marry him.

Prince William is 'firm' that Harry will never be welcomed back into the Firm, says expert

Former BBC royal correspondent Michael Cole has said there will be “no softening” of William's approach to Harry, who has done “the unthinkable”.

“That [men] “They can’t stand two things they can’t stand,” Cole told GB News America.

“Her driving skills and they certainly can’t allow their wife to be criticised. Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have made no secret of their disdain for Princess Kate.

“Even when she was diagnosed with cancer and announced it herself, the message she received was a bit ambiguous.”

When Kate's illness was revealed to the public, the Sussexes posted a message saying: “We wish Kate and the family health and healing and hope they can do so privately and in peace.”

Prince Harry reveals which member of the royal family called him 'sober'

The current king reportedly made the following comment at the time of Harry's birth in 1984, telling the late Princess Diana: “Wonderful! You have now given me an heir and a replacement; my work is done.”

The Guardian claims that Harry's distaste for the title was reflected in his memoir of the same name.

The paper wrote in its review: “Harry’s resentment at being the ‘nephew’ is the underlying theme of his book, through chapters on his childhood, his upbringing, his career as a royal and in the British military, his relationship with his parents and brother, and his life with Meghan through courtship, wedding and marriage, to his own experience of fatherhood.”

Colombian Vice President opens up about Sussex trip controversy

Harry and Meghan visited Colombia for a four-day tour last week at the invitation of Vice President Francia Marquez.

Many in Colombia criticised the move, believing it was an attempt to distract attention from the political and economic failings of the incumbent government, and potentially an attempt at self-promotion by Ms Marquez.

The funding of the trip came under scrutiny as questions arose over who was paying for the Sussexes' visit, including their full security.

In a statement released by her office, Ms Marquez has now set the record straight, saying it was a joint effort.

“This visit was the result of a collective effort. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex financed their trip and that of their team from their own resources,” the statement reads.

“The events held in the various places visited were co-financed with resources from international cooperation and philanthropy that generously contributed to this visit.

“The Ministry of Equality and Equity and the Vice-Presidency guaranteed the technical requirements, mobility and participation of young people, women and communities.”
