Kate gives update on her return as William reveals Harry Potter scar – the latest

Harry and Meghan: a timeline

Kate Middleton has hinted at a possible return to public life this weekend when Prince William revealed the origins of his “Harry Potter” scar.

The Princess of Wales may reportedly be “considering” a surprise appearance at the King's annual birthday parade on Saturday, June 15.

This comes after she apologized in a heartfelt letter for missing the final rehearsal of Trooping the Color, known as the Colonel's Review, last weekend.

The Princess of Wales, honorary colonel of the Irish Guards, wrote: “Please pass on my apologies to the entire Regiment, however I look forward to representing you all again very soon.”

Meanwhile, yesterday during a visit to Wales to learn about innovations in the seaweed industry, Prince William explained how he got a Harry Potter scar.

He did so when asked if he played golf, and then explained that the last time he did, he suffered a head injury that has now drawn comparisons in his mind to Harry Potter's famous lightning bolt scar.

Prince William celebrates seaweed innovators

Prince William yesterday celebrated the innovations being made by companies using seaweed.

He met with businesses at Cardiff Metropolitan University, including Car-y-Mor, a seaweed farm that produces snacks.

Car-y-Mor's Owen Haines said the entire industry has the potential to create much-needed jobs in coastal areas.

“Coastal areas tend to be dominated by tourism and second homes, and the problem is that sooner or later the community collapses, as the doctor's office closes, the school closes and no locals can afford housing,” Haines said.

“Whereas if you start businesses like this, you have the opportunity to restart them. This is an opportunity to start a new sector with terrestrial and marine cultivation, through the production of biostimulants. [from the seaweed] “You can put yourself in the fields.”

Harry and Meghan's 'contingency plan' if Trump is re-elected

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly putting together a “contingency plan” in the event of Donald Trump's re-election in November.

The former president said the Duke of Sussex, whose visa is currently under review, would be treated like any other citizen if he is found to have lied about his previous drug use on his application.

A source said New Idea: “The Sussexes are very concerned about the prospect of Donald Trump becoming president again and fulfilling his promise to expel Prince Harry from the United States.

“They are developing a contingency plan that would make them flee the country with their children. [Archie and Lilibet] if Trump returns to office.”

Charles shares a joke with David Beckham before the Euro Cup

The King was all smiles with David Beckham as he celebrated the work of his foundation alongside other celebrity ambassadors including Sir Rod Stewart and Naomi Campbell.

Charles and former Manchester United midfielder Beckham were seen laughing and were heard talking about England's chances at Euro 2024.

Referring to England's defeat to Iceland on Friday, Charles said: “What was that all about at Wembley?”

Beckham responded: “I don't think we should make a big deal out of it.”

Charles said: “It doesn't really matter, does it? It was a kind of warm-up. You don’t want to spend it all at once at first.”

To reassure the King, Beckham said “we will be ready, Gareth will be ready”, to which Charles gave the former footballer the approval.
