Jonathan Owens has shown his support for his wife, Simone Biles, even from across the ocean.

Biles competed in Paris on Sunday, July 28, in the women's gymnastics event, where she overcame a calf injury to earn a total score of 59.566 in the all-around, while the U.S. team earned 172.296. Despite getting permission from his coach for the Chicago Bears safety to skip practice for his wife's Olympic performance, Owens has not been present in Paris yet.

Instead, Owens took to his Instagram Stories to show his support for his wife as she competed. He first wrote, “We locked in” in a text that appeared on the screen as the Team USA introduction played.

The NFL player also showed several clips of Biles, including one of her on the beam as he wrote “Flawless” on the screen and a clip of her on the vault as he wrote “speechless.”

“Go gooooooo!!!!!” Owens wrote alongside a video of his powerful jump and Snoop Dogg showing off a T-shirt with his wife’s face on it.

Her final Instagram Story from the Olympics showed Biles after finishing her routine on the uneven bars with text on the screen that read, “Go babe!”

Last week, Owens revealed that he had worked with his coach, Matt Eberflus, to make sure he could support his wife in person, but he can't leave until Monday, July 29. The women's team finals begin on July 30, with the individual events then taking place in the following days.

“Obviously the Olympics were coming up and you know who my wife is,” he said. Yahoo! Sports At the time, “everything was respectful. We went to them and said, 'We would really appreciate it if you could go and support your wife.'”

“I can’t wait to be able to support her,” he continued. “She’s the person you love the most, man, and you see her in a position where someone could get hurt and you worry. I’m holding my breath and I’ve got my little piece of paper ready to figure everything out, so I can’t wait.”

Owens added: “It’s always very stressful.”

Eberflus echoed a similar statement during a press conference. “Just because we respect the Olympic Games,” Eberflus said, according to ESPN“It’s a very big deal. And he’s just supporting the person that he loves the most. And I think it’s great that he can do that.”

The coach supported Owens' decision, adding: “We're happy about it and it's going to be great. Go USA!”

Biles showed her appreciation for her husband with a birthday tribute to him earlier this week on Instagram.

The gymnast shared several photos of the two together as she wished him a happy 29th birthday.

“Happy, happy birthday to my husband, best friend, confidant, and party animal,” she wrote. “Thank you for being the calm in my storm! I love you with all my heart and can’t wait to see what this year brings! Let’s do it big, babe. I wish I could be there to celebrate you, but I’ll see you soon! Hugs and kisses,” she concluded her message, noting that Owens would eventually be joining her in Paris.
