Fitness star Joe Wicks surprised his fans by drinking his wife's breast milk.

Wicks, 38, and his wife Rosie, 33, were heading to Taylor Swift's final show at Wembley Stadium with their daughter on Tuesday night (August 20) when he asked her to “save” him some breast milk to try.

As Rosie walked down the street with a jacket covering her chest, the trainer asked him what he was doing. His wife replied, “Expressing milk while I’m on the go,” to which he replied, “Save me some milk.”

After posting a poll on her Instagram Stories asking fans to vote “drink it,” “throw it away,” or a third option that read “you're disgusting,” Wicks decided she would drink the “beautiful breast milk” regardless of the outcome of the poll.

“Well, I'm going to vote, but in this case, even if the vote was no, I would have drank it anyway. I'm not going to deny it. Liquid gold, mummy's milk,” Wicks said as he took a sip from the bottle.

“Believe it or not, it tastes really sweet,” she said. “Like a natural sweet vanilla milk. No wonder babies love sugar and sweet things.”

He added: “The energy and nutrients it contains are incredible.”

“This is very harmless, honestly. It’s really good,” she continued. “I wouldn’t take it with porridge or cereal, but it’s good to have a drink every now and then. Thanks Rose, thanks for your milk!”

Fans had mixed reactions, with some calling the decision to drink breast milk “disgusting.” Several people compared Wicks to Homelander, a superhero character from Amazon Video. The boys known for his love of breast milk.

Others were less concerned. One person wrote: “Animals drink milk from their own species. People don’t say anything. Humans drink human milk and people go crazy.”

The couple announced the arrival of their fourth child in June.

“Today at 9.30am we welcomed our fourth baby into the world. A boy weighing 3.2kg. Rosie gave birth at home. The NHS midwives at St Peter's hospital were amazing,” Wicks wrote in an Instagram post alongside a photo of him holding the newborn. “Rosie and baby are doing well and getting some rest.”

Wicks rose to fame after sharing her simple, healthy recipes and posting workout videos as part of a series called “PE with Joe” aimed at keeping kids fit during the pandemic.

In 2022 he was awarded an MBE and dedicated the award to his brother Nikki Graham.

“Nikki is my brother. He is also my best friend. Every time I did ‘Physical Education with Joe,’ he would talk to me. I couldn’t have done it without him,” said the fitness and nutrition specialist.
